Stan van Belkum (Warmond, the Netherlands, 1961) is a visual artist. Main discipline is painting, material: oil paint, epoxy resin, colored steel wire, watercolor, nylon, rust, wax and copper wire. Contingency is a guiding principle. Still, it allways leads to landscapes with water and boardings. Painting is an intense process with long drying times. This 'in between time' is filled with the creation of ceramics. Porcelain is the carrier for drawings in old fashioned Delfsblue. Photography is coming, thge first project will be 'leaving behind'.
